Manhattan Chibeca Legend Dojo does it again

On May 7, the Manhattan Legend Dojo "Chibeca" "The Little Dojo That Can" entered in :
"The 12th Traditional Karate-Do Invitational Championships" in Queens College, Flushing, NY
It provided not only our students to demonstrate their kata and kumite skills, but it also afforded me an opportuity to meet old friends and Sensei's from the "old days" or "old School" from the 70's.
I had the opportunity to meet one of my 1st Sensei's-Shihan Toyotaro Miyazaki.
Back then the style was the Kenko-Juko Association and the dojo was the "Tokutai Dojo".
Old friends and fierce competitors: Promoter/Shihan Kai Leung and the gentleman Sensei George Ashkar
It provided an opportunity to go down memory lane and remember those "old days'.
Sensei George Guzman came with his family and students.
My senior student-Sensei Steve Leonsky came with his students as well.
And the Manhattan Dojo was represented by our very own-Stephanie Giorgio, John Nguyen and Jennifer Arcario.
They planned....................
They meditated..........................
They stretched........... and the final results were................
The pictures say it all...................................
Congratulations to all! Win or Lose..you are all champions. You dared to try and you succeeded!

I am happy to see Sensei Miyazaki. I was one of his students at the time of George Ashka, Michael Ray, Alvin Long. Great competitors.
