The "Do Bros" -Varon and Alamo

Shihans Varon and Alamos' 1st dojo in Bayside, Queens-NY. (1981?)
Our 1st students. From left to right: Leonsky, Arroyo and Averna
Note the "soldier of fortune" patch on Leonsky. Oh well.
Our 1st students and "demo" in the backyard of my parents home in Bridgewater, NJ
Our 1st "BIG" dojo on 8th Ave and 45th Street in Manhattan.
Pimps and prostitutes were our biggest fans. You needed karate to get to the dojo.
The dojo was a dance studio. The flamenco and bellydancers loved us.
Wow! Varon back in the old days with Sensei Mizakazu Takahashi from the Kenko-Juko Association in the Tokutai Dojo in Flushing, Queens (Sensei Toyotaro Miyazaki Hombu Dojo)
The Florida Dojo had a small but dedicated following.
Eventually it moved to a larger location with a few more dedicted souls.
Yes this is another way of saying Legend: "The Legendary Barefist Empty Hand Way."
Before there was airport security........
Corona-Queens Dojo in a dance studio. You will note Fred Astaire in the background.
Our last dojo which was in the basement of a restaurant. The patrons "loved us" sort of...
We had hair and it was black and it was long.
We thought we were the Bubba Gumps' of the world.
